Vaccination Policies
Vaccination documentation must be confirmed three (3) days prior to check-in for Non-Peak Periods and fourteen (14) days prior for Peak Periods.
Canine Guests
- All Guests, regardless of age must provide proof of current vaccinations against Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella.
- The Bordetella vaccine must be administered at least three (3) days prior to check-in if it has expired or has never been administered.
- CIV (Canine Influenza Virus) vaccine is strongly recommended at all locations; consult your veterinarian.
- Leptospirosis vaccine is strongly recommended at our Santa Monica and Hollywood locations.
- Puppies are welcome to use our services, as long as they are fully vaccinated with all required vaccinations.
Feline Guests
- All feline Guests must be spayed or neutered.
- For indoor only cats, a FeLV waiver may be signed by a vet and provided to Wag Hotels in lieu of the FeLV vaccination. The waiver is available on our website.
- All Guests must provide proof of current vaccinations against Rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV.
At-Home Vaccines
- Vaccines given at home will require the receipt from purchase as well as sticker from the vaccine bottle.
- DHPP, Bordetella, FVRCP, and Feline Leukemia are accepted at home vaccinations.
- Rabies must be given at a Veterinary office under the supervision of a licensed Veterinarian.
- DHPP, FVRCP, and Feline Leukemia will be considered current for 1 year from date of purchase.
- Bordetella will be considered current for 6 months from date of purchase.
Wag Hotels recommends that all Guests be on a regular internal (i.e., worms) and external (i.e., fleas and ticks) parasite treatment program. If external parasites are discovered upon check-in, a flea bath will be required at Client’s expense. Additionally, if internal parasites are discovered during their stay treatment by a veterinarian will be required and/or Specialized Care fees will apply.
Bordetella Vaccine Resources
We carry the Bordetella vaccine in-house at all locations. The Bordetella vaccine must be administered by you, the pet parent, at home. Wag Hotels staff are NOT able to administer vaccinations to your pet.
Canine Influenza Virus Vaccine Resources
Chicagoland area: First, check with your veterinarian’s office. If they do not have the vaccine available, check with your local VCA or Vetco locations.
